The Scottish Cockatiel Association was formed in September 1996 to encourage cockatiel lovers to enjoy their hobby by breeding healthy and quality birds. We try to stress the importance of good record keeping and of ringing. This makes it easy to instantly have all the information about each indivdual bird. To this end we make closed rings available to fully paid up members which show their membership number(email secretary for information)

If you exhibit cockatiels then we have access to information on shows and results and we also grant patronage if requested. We would also like to encourage more people to consider exhibiting their birds and although we appreciate that not everyone wants to show, most want to visit shows to see the birds of others. How often do we say,"I've got better birds at home"? Don't just say it, do something about it! We can help you, just ask us.

At the end of the day, we are all bird lovers and want to see cockatiels promoted because they are OUR chosen variety. Newcomers can learn from long term keepers and exhibitors. It is always reassuring to have someone on hand for advice when things go wrong.

We are called Scottish Cockatiel association but it doesn't matter where you live, be it Scotland, England, USA, Australia or wherever, for the small subscription fee you can join us and be part of a like-minded community. Go now and print off the application formpop it into and envelope with your subscription and you will have taken the first step towards being part of the family.
